Since 1961, Cineforum Rivista has been an essential reference point for anyone who wants to know everything about the Seventh Art: a tool for critical reflection that starts with current events and goes on to touch on genres, trends, and authors of international cinema, without forgetting TV series and everything that is broadcast on the web and in streaming.
Today, with New Series , it is also a beautiful editorial object: for those who believe in the smell , the physicality and the quality of reading time spent on paper .
Cineforum Rivista , published since 1961 by FIC – Federazione Italiana Cineforum , is one of the most esteemed film criticism and culture magazines in Italy and internationally. Forced to go on hold (theaters closed, productions halted, etc.), in December 2020 it was revamped with a new "print and web" editorial project , led by Emanuela Martini (editor-in-chief). The print magazine is once again published as a quarterly magazine, Nuova Serie , with four issues per year.
In terms of content, Cineforum is unique in the Italian film press landscape. Each issue of the magazine is like a multi-authored book , featuring high-quality writing and analysis; the authors are some of the best names in contemporary film criticism.
