ŏpĕra magazine

ŏpĕra magazine is an active space for collective experimentation and research, where artistic and curatorial practices, images, and words meet to give shape to an editorial project defined by a plurality of voices.
Founded in 2020 , ŏpĕra is a collector's magazine, published annually in a limited edition and bilingual.

Each issue features six original contributions by six pairs of emerging artists and curators, alongside three distinct sections: one dedicated to contemporary artistic production, one to cultural and curatorial research, and a third that pushes beyond the magazine's boundaries to showcase the work of institutions, museums, art foundations, and interdisciplinary initiatives, both nationally and internationally, involved in the contemporary art system.

Thanks to a nomadic editorial team and a network of collaborators active in various Italian cities, ŏpĕra aims to be an archive, a laboratory of ideas, and a manifesto for new curatorial and artistic practices.

Since 2024, the collaboration with Paper & People has enriched the magazine with the inclusion of various types of special paper, making it not only a visual but also a tactile experience.
