Saul Marcadent

Saul Marcadent is a researcher at the Iuav University of Venice and curator. At the center of his activity are the relationships between publishing, visual culture and fashion. He has held conferences in university institutions such as HEAD Genève, The New School Parsons Paris, Free University of Bolzano, University of Camerino, Academy of Fine Arts Wien. He is editor-in-chief of the bilingual biannual academic journal, Dune. Writings on fashion, design and visual culture and author of the book, published in two editions, Publishing as curatorship. Project and imagination in contemporary fashion magazines (Marsilio Editori, 2020). Among the recent collaborations, he curated the workshop and the installation Rereading the Archive for ICA Milano; co-created and curated the workshop and installation Spettri for Villa Manin in Passariano, Udine; he was visiting curator for the Swiss Institute in Rome; followed the editorial coordination of publications for NERO Editions and Le Dictateur Press; he was a guest writer for Self Service magazine; he has participated in festivals such as Printing Fashion in Paris and Vogue Photo Festival in Milan; he curated the Publishing Traffic series of meetings for Gucci Garden in Florence.
